So wait, wouldn't this:

Recently however his claws were bonded with the magic metal of the shattered Muramusa demon blade making them even sharper and more powerful. This blade temporary shuts down "healing factors" as well allowing Daken to kill those even with very strong healing factors.

Mean that when he pops and retracts his claws, he would start bleeding out?  Or shouldn't it ffect his healing factor when their sheathed?  Or is this another thing they didn't think through?
Good lord.  I knew I was better off ignoring that series.

Yeah, I would think they would affect him.

I can see a couple of people in this thread I'm gonna have to smack.

JR JR may have an idiosyncratic style, but at least he can tell a story as opposed to all those "artists" who can splash and nothing else

you can try and smack me all you want, JR JR is a hack and anything positive he does is overshadowed by the fact that his art looks like he had a fit with a pencil in his hand

His art may be ugly, but he's far from a hack.

It's one claw that is sheathed with adamantium when he isn't using it.  And he's saving it for Wolvie.

The answer is:  Magic metal.  It doesn't affect the one in possession of the metal.

The one that pops out of the underside of his wrist.  Even though they still love to draw him with it out on covers and such.

Ok, he has adamantium sheathes.  I feel like this is one of those cases where ignorance is bliss, so I'll pretend I still don't know who he is and this thread never existed.  But thanks for the info.

He's not that one-dimensional.  He's only playing dressup as daddy because he's in the Avengers.  He doesn't walk around pretending to be Wolverine all the time.

I believe Daken stole it in Wolverine:Origins.

Cyclops was a moron and essentially brought the sword to Dakan.  Cyclops believed he had to bring the sword to stop Logan.

It's just poor writing if Cyclops is portrayed as a moron, tho.  It's kinda like writing Batman as a moron.

He was never leader in the X-Men because he was the most powerful.  Even by the time Havok and Polaris were introduced, certainly by the time of Storm, Colossus, Banshee and on, he has tended to be overshadowed in that department.  He's supposed to have led team after team of X-Men not because he's more powerful than them, but because he's a great leader and strategist.  If you write him as just being bone-headed, you don't get the character.

That's always been a problem with Cyclops though.  A lot of writers barely show him being able to do anything.

I can't remember where it was that someone pointed out that Cyclops as an strategist, was up near the same class as Captain America.  That fact is conveniently forgotten too often.  Especially when they made him into some kind of whiny depressed guy.

a lot of writers wouldn't know what to write for tactics even if they wanted too.

Comic book tactics usually fall into the "Get em guys!" category.
